The past several decades’ scientists have been doing their researchers in their labs on a synthesis of metal nanomaterials. The gold is the most attractive because of its beauty and characteristics since the beginning of the human history.
Colloidal gold nanoparticles have been used for centuries by artists due to the vibrant colors produced by their interaction with visible light. More recently, these unique optical electronics properties have been researched and used in high tech applications such as organic photo voltaic, sensory probes, therapeutic agents, a cure delivery in biological and medical applications, electronic conductors, catalysis, plasma, and space technology applications. The optical and electronic properties of gold nanoparticles are tunable by changing the size, shape, surface chemistry, or aggregation state. Gold nanoparticles are particles between 1 and 100 nanometers in size. Nanoparticles are subject with great scientific interest as they are, in effect, a bridge between solid materials and atomic or molecular structures and deeper. A solid material should have constant physical properties regardless of its size, but at the nano-scale size-dependent properties are often observed. Thus, the properties of materials change as their size approaches the nano scale and as the percentage of the surface in relation to the percentage of the volume of a material becomes significant.
These resonant oscillations are known as surface plasmons. For small ~30nm gold nanoparticles, the surface plasmon resonance phenomenon causes an absorption of light in the blue-green portion of the spectrum (~450 nm) while red light (~700 nm) is reflected, yielding a rich red color, often possess unexpected optical properties, as they are small enough to confine their electrons and produce quantum effects.
Suspensions of gold nanoparticles are possible since the interaction of the particle surface with the solvent is strong enough to overcome density differences, which otherwise usually result in a material either sinking or floating in a liquid. Gold plasmonic nanoparticles are particles and their electron density can couple with electromagnetic radiation of wavelengths that are far larger than the particle due to the nature of the dielectric-metal interface between the medium and the particles: unlike in a pure metal where there is a maximum limit on what size wavelength can be effectively coupled based on the material size.
Plasmons are the oscillations of free electrons that are the consequence of the formation of a dipole in the material due to electromagnetic waves. The electrons migrate in the material to restore its initial state; however, the light waves oscillate, leading to a constant shift in the dipole that forces the electrons to oscillate at the same frequency as the light.

Different types of methods are employed for synthesis of nanoparticles due to their wide applications. The conventional chemical methods have certain limitations with them either in the form of chemical contaminations during their syntheses procedures. During the last years, I have been developing simple, clean, non-toxic and cost effective methods to produce the nanoparticles. In order to get this objective, electrolysis methods have been developed in order to fill these values. The electrolysis of gold nanoparticles is simple, single step, eco-friendly and a green approach. The reddest nano gold particles are made with chemical reaction method to produce red nano gold particles. Due interesting properties of gold nano particles I started my own testing to achieve different shape and size in colors of nano particles with electrolysis method and I made different size Nano gold that is very stable in even at pH 14 and does not change their color, no precipitation was observed and laser path is clearly visible. It is very challenging but brought me in curiosity. In the picture, we can see my results.
Different size of gold nano particles can be observed by the different color. Red particles are mostly ball shape in size of 5 - 30 nm, rose and the purple color is mixed red and violet oven blue particles in one solution and contains different sizes and shapes of Nano gold. Nano gold could be in so many forms and shapes, but they have property to make self-assembly sacred geometric structures. Blue nano gold is more rod shape and could be in size between 30-100 nm. Gold Nano particles bigger than 100nm precipitate in solution as dark gray or even black (as gold oxide). In certain conditions, you even can make orange or slightly yellow gold nano particles solution. We are only beginning to understand the optical properties and excited state behavior of these clusters.
After finishing testing I feel satisfied and have more questions than before. I will continue to research and my message is to open your minds and let it understand and join for experiments in various fields. Personally, I keep learning and invite others learning by doing. Is not just a gold valued but the beauty of its properties are valuable and it is only at the level where we can see how gold nanoparticles are shining like a little suns or stars.

We need to understand the beauty of the Universe and their forces.
